Important Details About Summer Employment
  • Staff contracts can begin as early as May 30th and may continue as late as August 30th. Contracts will vary depending upon position.
  • Time off (weddings, school functions, etc.) must be written on your contract and cleared through the Program Director prior to being hired for the summer.
  • In almost all cases, Summer Staff are required to live on-site at camp. Staff will reside with other staff members in cabin or dorm-style accommodations. Meals are provided during the week.
  • We will interview applicants as they apply. We will accept applications until all positions are filled.
  • Staff must attend staff training, which is paid. The length of staff training may vary depending upon position. See schedule below.
  • CPR and First Aid certification costs $35, and is conducted during staff training week. All summer staff must be CPR and First Aid certified. Regardless of whether you do CPR, First Aid, or both, the cost is $35.
  • Staff who work through August 20th will be required to stay until the end of the day August 21st, for a mandatory day of camp clean up, unless otherwise specified in their contract. Also, any summer staff who work until the 27th, will be required to stay through the 28th for an additional day of camp clean up.
  • Dietary Requirements: In most cases, there are no cooking facilities available for staff to make their own meals. If you have any medical dietary issues please let us know.
  • If you are hired, and recruit friends who are hired, you will earn $50 per friend. Note: You must also complete a Summer Staff Referral Form to receive this recruiting bonus.

Important Summer Dates:
  • Leadership Staff arrive Sunday, May 30th at 3pm for staff training
  • Waterfront Staff, Tech Staff, ELITE Mentors, and Kitchen Staff arrive Sunday, June 6th at 3pm for staff training
  • Counselors, Security Guard, and Medical Assistant arrive Sunday, June 13th at 3pm for staff training 
  • Mid Summer Counselors arrive by 1:30pm the Sunday of their first week (You are welcome to come earlier the week before to get adjusted and shadow another staffer.)
